InfoCentric started off life as a vendor agnostic data and analytics consultancy, providing a range of consulting, advisory and project augmentation skills and capabilities that were largely driven by our customer specific technology requirements.
As a result of this, in the early life of InfoCentric, we were heavily involved in traditional Microsoft SQL, Oracle and Teradata related projects.
However, the impact of cloud service platforms and providers has enabled non-traditional data platform players to emerge, including Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop and Google to name a few.
These vendors have completely changed the data eco-system, providing customers with a comprehensive array of choices to meet traditional reporting and business intelligence use cases, but enabling new use cases through data science, big data, machine learning and AI based algorithms.
The multi-cloud approach towards building your data eco-system is the preferred way of working for most organisations today. The ability to integrate cloud services to provide a best of breed approach, leveraging a mixture of vendor proprietary, open source and emerging technology is how most future state architectures are evolving.
